About Us
Macpro was established in 2003 by Michael Carty, a former professional basketball player and a sports tutor. Michael has managed social education and sports programmes since the mid 1980’s. Michael is committed to the idea that success can be achieved by helping people to maximise their full potential.
Macpro offers members the opportunity to become sports coaches as well as training and guidance in the delivery of coaching sessions.
Michael was head basketball coach in 1997 at South Bank University. He managed YMCA’s Macpro Central basketball club 1998 – 2003, managed a community basketball league in 2003 – 2008. Currently he manages teams that compete at a nationally recognised level and has done so since 1998.
Additionally, Michael has project managed youth forums, team building workshops, tournaments, coach clinics, trips, residential, late night sports sessions and international programmes.
Macpro offers young people the opportunity to participate and have fun in Macpro training sessions, teams, tournaments and leagues.
