MACPRO Black History Month Basketball Tournament

Macpro Training Academy, hosted a one day Basketball Tournament for Black History
Month on Wednesday 26th October 2011 at the Damilola Taylor Centre in Peckham.
Teams included South London Macpro, Brixton Topcats, Lewisham Thunder and LC
Academy.
Lewisham Thunder and South London Macpro dominated, winning all their games.
Ultimately both teams competed against each other with Lewisham Thunder securing victory
38 to 24 in an exhilarating final.
Michael Carty of Macpro Training Academy said “all participants showed a high level
of competitive spirit and team play.
“We were proud to host this exceptionally well attended event, which gave the young people
an opportunity to engage in a meaningful and rewarding competition, funded by Peckham
Community Council”
